Re: Code of Conduct Suggestions
- DRAFT by Tiina
1. Team commitment – all team members are equal; every team member’s opinion will be thoughtfully considered. Each team member will keep all commitments by the agreed upon due date; each team member agrees to constantly assess whether team members are honouring their commitment to the team norms.
2. Team member respect – team members will speak respectfully to each other; will not talk down to each other; will positively recognise and thank each other for team contributions.
3. Team organisation and function – allow for the division/delegation of tasks between the members, provided that the contribution of each member is comparable. The whole team, however, remains responsible for the entire project.
4. Team communication and meetings - the team will meet formally (face-to-face) a minimum of twice? a week with minutes taken until project ends. The team discussion forum will be checked daily. Emails must be sent to facilitate important questions and actions including copies to Sue Andrikidis and Jack Aakhus for all correspondence with suppliers.
5. Team interaction in meetings – team members will attend the meetings on time; work from an agenda; record minutes and finish meetings in timely manner. Members will rotate to get experience in leading the meetings, typing the agenda and taking minutes.
6. Team communication with other teams, suppliers and teachers – team members will make certain they have agreement on what and when to communicate. Complaints about team members will be addressed first in the team before consulting the teachers.
7. Team problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making – team members will make decisions by consensus, but majority will rule if timely consensus is not reached. Cnflicts will be resolved directly with the persons in conflict but if agreement is not reached, consult the teachers.
8. Team management for failures to follow this code – to be decided
